The meat industry is one of the leading sectors of the Russian agro-industrial complex, and meat and meat products are one of the main products of animal origin in the human diet. The efficiency of meat processing enterprises is determined by the degree of equipment with technological machines and means of mechanization of auxiliary processes, their technical level, reliability, specific technical and economic indicators. Slaughter and processing of carcasses of slaughter animals are labor-consuming and responsible technological processes in the primary processing of pigs. Due to the complexity of the anatomical structure of carcasses of slaughter animals, most of the processing operations are carried out manually, with a simple or mechanized hand tool. In some enterprises, these operations are performed on conveyors in a vertical or horizontal position. The article proposes a design of a gas chamber that allows to speed up and improve the stunning process, at the same time to increase the productivity of the entire line of primary processing of pigs.
