The paper describes the main stages of the development and psychometric testing of a new psychodiagnostic tool designed to examine the personal and professional characteristics of experts in professional expert activities. The questionnaire has been drawn up because of the lack of diagnostic tools to determine the development level of expert thinking and the accompanying personal and professional qualities of an expert. At the same time, expert thinking is considered as a specific feature of an expert in the context of the subject matter of law enforcement and expert activities being a transformed specific type of legal thinking rather than a universal characteristic of a person. Besides, the research reflects data on the validity, reliability, and standardization of the technique under review. The study identifies the scope of its use and the categories of respondents that can be effectively assessed by the questionnaire.
