The study describes the archeological sites of Western Yakutia related primarily to the basins of the Vilyuy River and major tributaries of the Lena River such as the Olyokma River. The above-mentioned areas are rich in archeological sites. It can be explained by the fact that the settlers from southern regions bordering Yakutia migrated over these rivers, which were the main routes for the tribes’ movement. In the long term, the researchers should reveal how the Turkic elements appeared in the basins of the Markha, Tyung, and Morkoka Rivers and identify the number of such elements. This research prospects can be indirectly determined by the numerous ceramic products of the first Yakuts, the ornamental patterns of individual organic items, the birchbark articles with domestic animal ornament, the archeological remains of settlements that are sporadically discovered along the banks of oxbow lakes and rivers. Thus, a huge number of archeological discoveries made in different historical periods demonstrate the enormous tourism potential of Western Yakutia.
