Archaeology of religion: religio in the pre-Christian paradygm

In the article the author makes an attempt to study the etymology of the word religio and the possible presenting a new definition of religion on these grounds. The author supposes that Cicero's definition of religion may be taken as an "umbrella definition" for defining non-Christian religions.
