Archetypical origin of mythical conceptons of history: “ideal society” in cyclical and linear models of historic time

Psychogenic causes of occurrence of the phenomenon of “mythic history” in historical consciousness are revealed in the article, relations between mythic history and event history, peculiarities of its functioning in the spiritual life of socium are researched. Examples of mythologizing historical events in different historical periods are given.
