Arctic State Farm Zhigansky in 1989-1993: Development Indicators and Reorganization Process

As a concrete example, the dynamics of the main quantitative and qualitative indicators of the development of the state farm "Zhigansky" of Zhigansk district for 1989-1991 is shown, which, both for the state farm as a whole and for its branches, were, although not so stable, but high enough, not counting its credit status. On the basis of archival documents we trace the reorganization process, the logic of creating new farms, what decisions were guided by the participants of the process, mainly by the governing bodies in the district. At this stage of studying the topic it is important to trace the transformation process itself, how exactly the specific events on the dissolution of the state farm took place, how certain decisions on the creation of new farms were made, how the real situation of the former state farm was assessed by the time of the completion of its history. The local history of the state farm "Zhigansky" at the last stage of the actual dissolution, the opinions of the heads of the new farms in the field on the results of this process provide an opportunity to preliminarily assess on the example of one Arctic farm what were the first results of such reorganization.
