In the article from the position of the various Sciences is considered art industry as communicative, including information system and disclosed specifics of its constituent elements - text / work / art product, the artist / author and recipient / consumer information. Paid special attention to identifying the nature of the most important, a key subject of communication system of contemporary art industry - art-manager as a manager in the sphere of art (producer, entrepreneur, art director, impresario, agent, promoter, etc.), without which the functioning of the system called in a market economy is difficult. The author stresses that art manager today - is the organizer of the business activities and the entrepreneur (producer, entrepreneur, impresario, etc.) in sphere of art, generating art-text, art reality with the spectrum of knowledge, symbols, meanings, codes by addressing organizational, creative, legal and financial and economic problems, and thus affects the development of art industry and branch economy.
