Attributive characteristics of weapon in the representation of the concept “violence”

The article deals with the analysis of the lexical units describing the weapon as the means of violence on the basis of the Anglo-Saxon poems. There are described these attributives based on the linguocultural approach to studying the concept VIOLENCE according to the division to the lexical and semantic groups by the functional feature that allows to reconstruct more distinct language world picture in the history of the English language.
