Outsourcing of business-function of management of scrap metal delivery and stock at metallurgical enterprises

The article deals with the problems of large metallurgical enterprises involved into transferring of drophammer plant and related departments to the outsourcing and transferring them the business-functions of management of delivery and stock of secondary ferrous metal. On the example of electro-steel-melting workshop the authors demonstrate the technique of monitoring of demand and delivery of secondary ferrous metal to metallurgical enterprises, definition of the problem, choice of criterion and model of optimization of an order point and optimal amount of secondary ferrous metal stock. They give the method of standardization of the circulation assets on the basis of optimized parameters of the stock management system.
