There is still no work containing comprehensive comparison of ideological content and art structure of the Zh. Sand`s novel and Druzhinin's story. The evolution of the writer` and critic`s relationship to the creation of the French novelist is also not tracked. The story refers to the first novels of French writer, but of what is unknown, besides “Jacques”. There is no clarity in the question of when Druzhinin got acquainted with the Zh. Sand`s novel "Jacques".
