Autobiographical poetics of the book "Plus tard, je serai un enfant" by E.-E. Schmitt

The article determines the genre status of and comments on the autobiographical poetics of the book "Plus Tard, je serai un enfant" (2016) by a modern French writer Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt. It focuses on the specifics of the development and interrelation of the childhood and creativity themes. The motives of creativity of the view, the word, the birth and fatherhood are identified and analyzed. It also comments on the story of the development of the writer‘s optimistic worldview. It is concluded that the angle, the scope of personal material, the language and the style in «Plus Tard, je serai un enfant» are integral for Schmitt, on the one hand, and they are consistent with the publisher‘s concept, on the other hand.The genre of the interview defines the dialogical form of the autobiographical narrative. The writer enters into a dialogue with the journalist and builds on his self-portrait in accordance with the journalist‘s logic.
