The article discusses the process of automation of document flow in guardianship and trusteeship authorities using the example of the Department of Guardianship and Trusteeship of the city of Yakutsk. The importance of integrating information technologies into social institutions to improve the system of social protection of the population is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to three strategic directions of state policy in the field of digitalization of guardianship and trusteeship structures, problems of inconsistency of information collection with current management tasks, as well as the need for a strategically sound concept for the use of information technologies to increase their efficiency.
