Quality of life automatized assessment of patients with malignant and benign breast diseases

The main purpose was the introduction quality of life automatized assessment of patients with malignant and benign breast diseases and the study quality of life of these patients. The database of hospital information system was used for automation of data transmission from the filled questionnaires, forms of unitary and dynamic researches were developed for result visualization. General questionnaire EORTC QLQ-C30 was selected. There were surveyed 246 patients, among whom 195 (79%) had malignant tumors, 51 (21%) - benign tumors. The lowest values was in emotional function on admission, fatigue and pain were disturbed patients most of all. Women with breast cancer for most of the scales had values lower than women with benign tumors. There was a decrease in values before discharge compared to admission, which was probably associated with severe postoperative symptoms. This development can be used as a good methodological base for assessment of cure efficiency in early postoperational period, during treatment, and in late time after termination of course of treatment.
