China's automotive industry: development trends and strategies for entering foreign markets

Automotive industry in 2010-2023 became one of the key sectors of China's economy by demonstrating production and export records, which allowed the country to take a leading position in the world market. However, the development of the industry was accompanied by such challenges as dependence on imported auto components, a shortage of qualified personnel and the need for modernization. The article reveals the transformation of industrial policy in the field of motor-car construction, analyzes the dynamics of its key indicators, including production, export, number of employees, as well as strategic changes in the policies of leading companies (SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng). In addition, it considers the measures of state support, problems of providing primary resources and prospects for further development of automotive industry.
