The results of investigation of a wave pattern arising from the reflection of constant-strength plane longitudinal shock waves from the rigidly clamped boundary of a nonlinear elastic half-space are considered. The existence condition for evolutionary shock waves serves as a criterion for choosing the reflected wave pattern. A scheme for the solution of a self-similar boundary-value problem is proposed which includes checking for the existence of evolutionary shock waves during computations. Different variants of reflected wave combinations are examined, and a choice of eventual wave patterns is made in a series of numerical experiments.
