Author’s position in children’s stories by I. P. Topoev

The article is devoted to identifying the author's position in stories for children by the Khakass children's writer I. P. Topoev. We have revealed the features of the children's stories structure. It has been determined the author's attitude towards dialogue with the addressee - the young reader - through the convergence of the positions of the author and the character in certain situations. The author's position can be traced in the inclusion of subjective narration, the rhythmic and intonation features of the child’s speech and vocabulary inherent to him. It is established the important role of the characters' dialogue in the structure of stories for children. We emphasize the artistic skills of the writer, who has experience in creating dramatic works, in constructing dialogues. I. Topoev’s author’s position is determined by a deep understanding of the child psychology, by the combination of a child’s view of the world with the position of an adult and wise mentor. Thus, the author’s special humorous attitude towards the world of childhood arises. The focus on edification and education is realized in the compositional structure of stories for children, in creating a situation of moral choice.
