Prima balalaika and its musical and acoustic features

The article considers musical and acoustic features of the prima balalaika. The sounding characteristics of the balalaika are described as well as the influence of its acoustic features on sound directing when recording the instrument in the studio. The peculiarities of balalaika tuning in different formations and the instrument range are considered.
