Balkanslang as a sociolinguistic phenomenon in modern Switzerland

The article deals with the social dialect “Jugendsprache”, phonologic, morphosyntactic and lexical peculiarities of multiethnolect “Balkanslang” in modern German-speaking Switzerland. There is defined the term “Balkanslang”. The author identifies the prerequisites of the phenomenon’s spreading. Balkanslang combines the characteristics of the ethnolects of the migrants’ language and the youthspeak and illustrates the example of a successful language integration of young people in multicultural environment of Switzerland independent of their origin.
