Barriers to professional self-realization in the civil service (experience of sociological research)

The article deals with the process of professional self-realization of the civil officers. The study presents the definition of self-realization in relation to civil officers. The paper provides the results of the author’s sociological research aimed at identifying barriers to the professional self-realization during civil service. The authors suggest the ways to remove these barriers. The article compares the results obtained through the research of heads and specialists of government institutions and the study on the grounds of gender.
