Basic categories of anglophone migration discourse: translation aspect

The relevance of the research is conditioned by the fact that migration is a continuous and comprehensive process in the modern world and is carried out within the framework of a promising field - migration linguistics, which seeks to model linguistic phenomena related to migration in order to assess public opinion and linguotolerance. This study examines the basic categories of English migration discourse and the specifics of their translation into Russian. Despite the fact that a scientific article is being analyzed as a material, the topic of migration determines the original and stylistically rich form of presentation. Stylistic saturation, as a rule, leads to numerous anomalies, breaks the usual semantic idea of lexemes, which can acquire a non-trivial meaning. That is why the authors use an integrated approach to the analysis of translation decisions, taking into account both stylistic and semantic aspects. The article is devoted to the difficulties of translating key categories of English-language migration discourse into Russian. Migration discourse, as a special type of institutional and interferent discourse, abounds with special vocabulary. The translation difficulty of the English-language migration discourse can be called the use of multivalent vocabulary and synonyms, understanding and conveying the author's individual style, which are used to emphasize the complexity and multidimensionality of the phenomenon of migration in the modern world. The study of the basic categories of the English-language migration discourse and the peculiarities of their translation into Russian implies a comprehensive approach, lexicographic, contextual and stylistic analyses are necessary.
