First researches on the possibility of using full-fat soybean and sunflower meal for animal feed and poultry are from the beginning of 60’s up to the end of 70’s. All researchers agree with the fact that due to the high content of protein and fat these beans represent a significant potential reserve fodder. Recent researches conducted both in our country and abroad in cattle, pigs, fish and poultry, testify to the successful use of the products of soybeans in diets of animals. According to the calculations the use of soy as a protein supplement in livestock saves no less than 250-300 thousand tons of cereals concentrated feed and get up to 150 thousand tons of milk and 25-30 thousand tons of meat within a region or area. As a result of researches red steppe breed cows were found that the inclusion in the composition of the diet thermally processed soybean and sunflower meal in complex with carbamide and polysaccharide in the amount of 25% of the animal’s protein demand has a positive effect on the increase in milk production, but sunflower cake showed a more stable result. Comparative evaluation of productive actions of proteins of different origin with regard to solubility, saturation its limiting amino acids confirms the possibility of increasing the protein value of the diet, with the condition оf appropriate treatment. The recipe feeds using soybean and sunflower meal better balanced nutritionally, metabolizable energy, amino acids, trace elements and vitamins than feed, consisting of traditional components.
