The information presented in the article may be useful in the differential diagnosis of nevus depigmentosus and vitiligo, tuberous sclerosis and anemic nevus. Nevus depigmentosus of appearance from birth or in the first three years of life. Clinically, it is represented, as a rule, by a single large hypochromic spot with pointed borders; it can be segmentally located without crossing the central line of the body. With an nevus depigmentosus, there is no combined neurological and additional skin pathology, mental retardation; there is no dynamics in the form of the spread of a hypochromic spot to neighboring areas of the skin. The area of the nevus depigmentosus increases in proportion to the growth of the child. When examining the lesion in the rays of the Wood's lamp, a dull whitish glow is observed, with diascopy there is a clear border with unaffected skin.
