«Uselessness» vs necessity of philosophical education

The article is devoted to a problem of specificity and place of philosophical knowledge in the system of education in comparison with humanitarian and natural-scientific knowledge. The philosophical knowledge is considered in new aspect: as knowledge of border. The accent on the importance of metaphysical questions in establishing man’s own outlook is made. The substantiation of necessity of formation of philosophical culture of reading (interpretation) of the text, philosophical culture of thinking and education of the person with a high degree of freedom in thinking is given. Creativity, freedom, criticism, and independence of thinking are presented as the basic notions of philosophical education.
