Road Safety: Contemporary Contents and Strategic Planning

This article examines individual scientific approaches to defining the concept of "road safety" in light of the Strategy for Improving Road Safety in the Russian Federation through 2030 and through 2036. An analysis of the opinions and approaches of Russian specialists who have contributed to the study of the category "road safety" is conducted. Taking into account the opinions of leading experts in this field (V.V. Golovko, V.V. Lukyanova, V.I. Mayorov, and others), the author concludes that modern approaches to road safety expand the meaning of the concept and serve the goals of effective strategic legal regulation.
