Library and information education: guidelines for professional standardization. Bachelor course

The article presents a new basic professional educational program of the Moscow State Institute of Culture in the field of training 51.03.06 - Library and information activities, developed and implemented in 2021 on the basis of the draft professional standard “Specialist in library and information activities”. The presented substantiation of this approach, which allows solving the actual problems of interaction between the library profession and library education as key elements of the library industry. The main professional educational program is considered as an experimental design solution aimed at purposeful search and application of new pedagogical design tools in library education in the context of professional standardization. The article reveals the system of professional competencies introduced in the IPCC as a planned result of training bachelors in library and information activities. The objectives and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the developed training program are defi ed.
