Library for family reading in socio-cultural space of Russia: development prospects or fading?

In article the questions concerning a condition of libraries of family reading at the present stage are considered. Justification of activity of library of family reading as optimum model of effective work with a family is given. In modern sociocultural space of Russia very important mission is assigned to libraries of family reading: revival, further development and removal on new level of traditions of family reading as cultural norm of development of the intra family relations. Because the libraries of family reading aimed in the work at all categories of readers, from preschool children to pensioners, are the only cultural institution where it is possible absolutely free of charge, but it is thus substantial and interesting to spend a free time.
