Biological ground for molybdenum requirement in pregnant sheep

In physiological and scientific-practical experiments the authors investigated the requirements of pregnant sheeps of the Prekos breed in molybdenum. It was shown, that optimal molybdenum doses at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of pregnancy are 4,18; 4,36 and 4,53 mg/head daily, or per 1 kg of living mass - 0,87; 0,85 and 0,85 mg, or per 1 kg of dry food - 3,14; 3,07 and 2,09 mg, respectively. It was revealed, that feeding of prescribed norms of molybdenum promote to increased digestibility and utilization of rations nutrient matter, normalize the metabolism, improve the embryonic development and raise the multiple pregnancy, vital capacity of offspring and activity of hair growth.
