Patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is a pathology in the knee joint, which is often observed in young active people and manifests itself as pain in the knee and periarticular tissues in the absence of intra-articular pathology of the knee joint. The article presents the results of a biomechanical study of statics and walking in 47 patients with PFPS and 34 healthy individuals. Differences in goniometric parameters were revealed in patients and healthy individuals when walking. It has been demonstrated that in PFPS, biomechanical disturbances affect both lower extremities. It has been shown that the severity of biomechanical disorders when walking can serve as a predictor of the effectiveness of conservative therapy for PFPS.
