Gratitude in political communication as a means of manipulation and suggestion

This article deals with studying political ideological discourse and the communicative act of gratitude as a means of speech impact in Germany in the 1930s. The communicative act of gratitude was often used in German political communication as an etiquette tactic of general conventional strategy, but it was not considered in ideological discourse as a means of propaganda and agitation. The most important characteristic of a totalitarian regime is the role of ideological influence, the use of various forms of ideological manipulation. The article analyzes the tactic of gratitude in political discourse as a means of manipulation and suggestion. We proved that the communicative act of gratitude pursues the strategies of manipulation and presentation, strategies aimed at creating the positive image of the past and the future, hyperbolization.
