God as an etymon and phenomenon

The idea of God is relevant due to the fact that it is not an archaic phenomenon, but exists now and is embedded in the mass consciousness of modern society. The purpose of this study is to determine the specifics of religion as a form of worldview. There are three aims: to characterize faith in God as the oldest topic of public consciousness and its place among the forms of civic ideology; to show that the idea of God exists in the modern spiritual culture of society in the form of many religious denominations; to note that numerous stories circulating in social networks have a spiritual character. The dialectical method of thinking, axiological analysis and hermeneutic interpretation are used as tools in this study. The novelty of the proposed version consists in an attempt to show that the idea of God is not limited exclusively to the sacred and mystical aspect, but has a completely realistic basis and is accessible to scientific understanding. The author shows that God is present in existence, but not as a physical reality, but as a spiritual phenomenon that has an ideal expression and is presented to a person in virtual forms. A man, according to the manifesto of the humanist Pico della Mirandola, is the vicar of God on earth and therefore the creator, which means that he is the image of God on Earth. Vice versa: in Ludwig Feuerbach's theory of alienation, God is the spiritual expression of human essence, the idea of man ascended to heaven.
