The article is devoted to Mikhail Viktorovich Boguslavsky, a leading contemporary historian of pedagogy and a leader of the country's historical and pedagogical community. The article shows the research, organizational, and personal qualities of M.V. Boguslavsky, which allowed him to preserve and multiply the achievements of the historical and pedagogical school and the Scientific Council on the History of Education and Pedagogical Science at the Department of Philosophy of Education and Theoretical Pedagogy of the Russian Academy of Education.
