Abusive and vulgar vocabulary in defining dictionaries of the Russian language

The paper discusses a number of issues relating to the reasons of inclusion, the principles of selection and the methods of describing stylistically reduced (abusive, rude, vulgar) vocabulary by defining dictionaries of the modern Russian literary language. The paper's primary focus is on a comparative analysis of the systems of appropriate functional usage labels adopted in all basic defining dictionaries of the modern Russian language.
