The paper explores a series of bronze arrowheads originating from theUzundara fortress. This fortification was an outpost of the northwest border defense line inBactria which was in operation from the end of the 4th century to the middle of the 2nd centuryBC. The typological analysis of the composition of the Uzundara bronze arrowheads helpsdate them to the 7th - early 3rd centuries BC. A broader chronological framework of thebronze arrowheads analyzed may be explained by the fact that some military clashes hadtaken place in this area before the Uzundara fortress was constructed.
Ancient bactria, uzundara fortress, arrowheads, hellenistic period in the east, greco-bactrian weapon
