The study examines the value orientations of Chinese family entrepreneurs and their role in regulating business behavior. Family hierarchy, in-group trust, and reputation mechanisms are considered within the designated context. The methodological foundation of the study comprises a theoretical and analytical approach based on secondary analysis of peer-reviewed scholarly publications and comparative interpretation of research on Chinese family entrepreneurship. The article shows that value orientations influence the selection of partners, the distribution of managerial authority, the transfer of control, and the maintenance of business reputation. The study substantiates the interpretation of a hybrid mode of organizational action, under which kinship ties and personal reliability retain their significance but are supplemented by professional, institutional, and public-reputational criteria. It is concluded that traditional orientations do not vanish under the influence of modernization; rather, they transform their mode of operation under conditions of management professionalization and the expansion of external business ties.
