Value orientation of students as a base of youth spiritual culture

The problem of the spiritual security of young people from an axiological point of view was investigated. It is assumed that values, being the main mechanism of social orientation and regulation of social relations, reflect those degree of order and predictability. An empirical study of students' value and career orientations using the psychodiagnostic method showed the dominance of individualistic values (hedonism, power, achievement) and an orientation towards independence and risk in career orientations (autonomy and entrepreneurship). The spiritual security of society is consistent with the system of values of its members and especially youth. The social group of young people is the most sensitive to social transformations, which is reflected in their values, and sets the vector for the development of society.
