Particles in the Ludic dialect of the Karelian language: semantics and classification

In this scientifi c article, the authors examine particles as one of the groups of Karelian-language discursive words using the material of the Ludic dialect of the Karelian language. The study is of a relevant nature, since the grammatical and lexical structure of the language of the Ludic Karelians is poorly studied. The scientifi c novelty of the presented scientifi c research is determined by the lack of a comprehensive analysis of particles in the Ludic dialect of the Karelian language. The purpose of the study is to systematize particles in terms of their semantics and functioning. The study was carried out using the method of functional-semantic description. The theoretical signifi cance of the work is the fi rst-of-its-kind classifi cation of particles in the Ludic dialect of the Karelian language based on the data of Karelian grammars and dictionaries. The result of the study was the establishment of nine categories of particles in the Ludic dialect and identifi cation of the most extensive functional-semantic groups by the composition of elements, which leads to the conclusion about the formation of a cluster of particles in the system of discursive words of the Ludic dialect of the Karelian language.
