The article is devoted to the issues of reproduction of scientific and pedagogical personnel of higher qualification and training of postgraduates. The article presents the content of the module "Methodology of scientific and information activities" as a section of the discipline "Methodology of research activities", taught at the Moscow state Institute of culture. The questions that graduate students study during the development of the following thematic sections are disclosed: "Information resources as a key element of research activities of a graduate student", "Source base of scientific research and its representation in qualifying papers and publications", "Modern information technologies in research", "Publication activity of a graduate student in the structure of research work", "Presentation of research results in unpublished and unpublished formats", "Design of a qualifying work (thesis)», "Portfolio of a modern scientist in the structure of scientific and information activities", "Modern system of scientific communications and prospects for its development". The new concepts "publication strategy of a post-graduate student" and "portfolio of a scientist" are defined.
