Chronotope features of Omsk in works of F.M. Dostoyevsky

This paper analyzes the urban space of Omsk on the material “Notes from the House of the Dead” and “Crime and Punishment” by F.M. Dostoevsky. In the course of the work, it is revealed that Omsk is a chronotope of a possible transformation of the hero, also it is a chronotope of freedom. Landscapes play a significant role in creating such a chronotope.
