Youth digital literacy: analysis of selected elements

The article is devoted to the study of the elements of digital youth literacy. The development of digital technologies, functioning within the digital environment requires certain knowledge and skills, called «digital literacy» or «digital competence». The formation of these skills among the population takes place through training in the education system or through direct experience with the digital environment. As a result of differences in the conditions and timing of the formation of digital competences and skills, the level of digital literacy varies between different population groups, which is particularly evident when comparing several age cohorts. In particular, heterogeneity on this basis is characteristic of the younger generation, whose digital socialization has its own characteristics and results for its different groups.
