Digitalization of the Economy and Its Impact on the Employment Practices of Russian Youth

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the impact of the digitalization of the economy on the employment practices of Russian youth in modern conditions. Based on current statistical data, the dynamics of employers’ requirements to young specialists over the last five years is revealed. There is a significant increase in demand for digital skills (from 45 to 78 %) and soft skills (from 35 to 65 %). Analysis of employment practices shows a significant gap between large cities and rural areas in the availability and use of digital job search tools. Particular attention is paid to new formats of professional self-realization of young people, including remote work, freelancing and digital entrepreneurship. Mechanisms of adaptation of young professionals to the conditions of the digital economy are considered. The article identifies the factors of successful employment, including the ability for continuous learning, mastery of digital tools, development of a personal brand in the digital environment and skills in working with big data. The article analyzes the challenges of digitalization for young professionals: increased global competition and the need to update competencies. Recommendations are proposed for the development of a youth employment support sys-tem, taking into account the requirements of the digital economy.
