The digitalization of regional civil service

Nowadays the process of digital transformation has affected all the spheres of social life, and the introduced restrictive measures aimed at Covid-19 negative aftermaths prevention were the main factor, influencing the development of digitalization. State civil service institution hasn’t become an exception, many state civil servants had to start teleworking, therefore they got directly involved in the process of digitalization of civil service. Using information technologies became an integral part of their professional activity. Even after some of the restrictions have been cancelled, the digitalization process in the sphere of civil service keeps going on, and the civil servants` attitude to this process requires further researching, as it is necessary to study the extent to which digitalization of civil service influences the way civil servants perform their professional functions. In order to study the emerging problems due to the process of digitalization, the authors conducted a sociological exploratory research, which aim was to determine the way state civil servants see the digitalization in the sphere of their work, the way they think about the process of civil service digitalization, as well as to identify their attitude to the consequences of digital transformation of state civil service
