Digital divide between regions as a factor of innovative development

The article examines the phenomenon of the digital divide between the regions of the Russian Federation based on an analysis of the capitals of the constituent entities of the Federation and large regional centers. The author offers an interpretation of the digital life index, which includes seven dimensions (transport, finance, trade, healthcare, education, media, administration) with a separate assessment of supply and demand. Key factors determining the depth of the digital divide are identified, and directions of regional policy to overcome it are formulated.
