Digital ruble: trends and prospects for the development of civil legislation

The author analyzes the legal nature and place of the digital ruble in the system of forms of the national currency, considers the concept of the digital ruble, the reasons for its appearance and the tasks for which it is created. The possible pros and cons of the appearance of the third form of money are characterized, ways to minimize these disadvantages are proposed. This paper analyzes the prospects for reforming the current civil legislation taking into account digitalization, the author discusses the feasibility and directions of developing a legal foundation for the functioning of the digital ruble, the foreign experience of introducing digital currencies is studied.
