The article discusses digital educational resources that can be used in studying the “Ecology” discipline at higher education institutions. Digital resources include data presented in electronic form and intended for use in the educational process. Electronic library systems, websites for creating control educational materials, media files, interactive maps and various resources containing information on environmental monitoring are used as digital resources. The use of such educational tools increases the visibility of the educational process, makes it more mobile, individual and creative, ensures better assimilation and consolidation of educational material, and also contributes to the formation of digital competencies in students necessary for a modern specialist. However, there are a number of disadvantages in the active use of digital educational resources - an overload of visual material, the need for constant access to the Internet and computer skills for participants in the educational process, a harmful effect on the vision and musculoskeletal system of students, the high cost of the necessary equipment and software for it. The authors provide various examples of the use of digital educational resources in conducting classes on the discipline “Ecology”. Summarizing the results of the study, the authors conclude that the use of digital educational resources in the learning process does not cancel traditional forms of teaching, but only complements them. Competent use of digital educational resources makes the lesson more intense, visual and interesting, which in turn increases the level of assimilation of the material studied and the learning motivation of students.
