The article is devoted to the use of modern interactive and communicative methods of teaching foreign languages in higher education. The purpose of the article is to review and analyze modern digital technologies in a foreign language lesson using the example of teaching English. The article highlights the issues of effective use of digital educational methods in teaching a foreign language, for students studying in the areas of training "Tourism" and "Hotel business". The author considers the tasks that must be set and solved during the educational process in order to achieve optimal results. The author summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of using modern interactive and communicative technologies in teaching English and justifies the effectiveness, expediency and relevance of their use for teaching foreign languages in higher education. The article provides an overview of the most popular Internet resources, as well as the results of a study on the use of modern multimedia tools to increase efficiency in teaching foreign languages. Given examples of the use of digital educational techniques for teaching a foreign language, for students, the Faculty of Tourism, are aimed at developing communicative skills in the use of learned language material in natural situations of communication in the field of tourism and hospitality. The didactic potential of modern digital technologies is presented for teaching communication activities. The results obtained give an overview of modern digital foreign language tools obtained during the classroom and independent work of students.
