The paper explored / considered creativity being one of the main components to cognitive activity enabling human beings to solve topical and urgent issues. One could find creative thinking in various domains of spiritual life or social practice or everyday occupations as well. However, the present day society having easy access to the data of almost any kind and an accelerating tempo of life that requires more instrumental/ gadget inventiveness capable to respond promptly to needs of a human being in particular and society in a whole. The study examined the issues of urgency to apply instrumental/ gadget inventiveness revealing its major stages and the chances an individual could avail of in various fields of vital activity. A special attention was paid to digital technologies being observed as a factor exerting impact on a nowadays instrumental/ gadget inventiveness rather than a means to reduce routine operations being a narrow-minded application of digital age' opportunities.
