Civilizational challenge to the institution of family and marriage in Russia: the sociological aspect

This article analyzes the nature of the change in basic values in the social system of Russian society. The author uses a civilizational approach to analyze social changes in the institution of family and marriage. From the perspective of the civilizational analysis of the social phenomena faced by the modern Russian family, the social factors affecting millions of families of Russian society as an integral system are actualized. New indicators of the effectiveness of the social institution of family and marriage and their conditionality are related to the structure of human needs in the increasingly complex multicultural process of interaction between different civilizations. The article presents data from the results of regional sociological studies in 2014 and 2022. The object of the study are residents of the Amur region. The relevance of the article is related to the analysis of the rate of spread in the mass consciousness of civilizational values and meanings that are not peculiar to the Eastern Orthodox civilization, to which Russia belongs.
