Activities of the Charitable Society of the Judicial Department in the Russian Empire (1895–1917)

The article explores the activities of the Charitable Society of the Judicial Department in the Russian Empire in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The authors emphasize that the society was effective thanks to the participation of judicial officials and the support of active members of society. Judicial chamber employees participated in the work of local branches of the society set a positive example for the judicial community in the districts. The society managed to provide financial support to a large number of judicial department employees and their families in difficult life situations.
