Based on archival materials, the authors provide a historical and legal analysis of the activities of state authorities and the society aimed at combating child homelessness, neglect and crime in the Altai Territory in the last years of the Great Patriotic War and the beginning of the post-war period; the authors examine the main forms and methods for minimizing child homelessness and neglect in the Altai Territory, as well as the results of such activity.
