Activities of the internal affairs bodies to combat child homelessness during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945

This scientific article presents a study of the organization and activities of the internal affairs bodies of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) in the context of the fight against child homelessness. The war had a significant impact on society, leading to a massive number of children who lost their parents or found themselves without proper care. The article analyzes the measures and policies developed by the state and departments in the field of protection of the rights and interests of orphans in war conditions. Special attention is paid to the organization of temporary shelters, foster families and social rehabilitation programs for children, as well as the participation of volunteers and public organizations in this process. The results of the study make it possible to better understand the complex social and humanitarian aspects associated with child homelessness in war conditions and the measures taken to improve the fate of these children.
